The calendar has been updated with Running With Scissors’ first 3 shows.

June 6th is the Blues Ed Festival at Slattery Vineyards at Nehawka, NE. Sit outside and sip Nebraska wine while listening to some fine blues. Does it get any better?

June 18th is the first Blues Ed Showcase at PS Collective. Details TBA.

August 2nd is the Omaha Blues Society’s Family Fun Day at the Anchor Inn. A cool venue for a summer day.

Details for all shows TBA.

Running With Scissors had their first rehearsal today. This was their very first time playing together, and they ROCKED! They worked on 2 songs, the Hendrix version of the Howlin’ Wolf song “Killing Floor”, and a song by Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan called “My Baby’s Gone”.

Next rehearsal is Saturday April 18, 10:0 AM at Josh’s house. They’ll be working on the blues classic “Five Long Years”.

Meet Enya, Anna, Brenna, Alec, Adam, and Josh. Together they call themselves “Running With Scissors”, an Omaha Blues Society “Blues Ed” band.

Running With Scissors is a first-year intern group, and won’t be immediately gigging, but watch for them in the future. These middle and high school musicians are going places!
